1. Parties and acceptance
These terms govern the use of the KDConvert website and tools operated by a private individual established in Turkey ("we"). By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. The service
We provide tools that run in your browser to convert, compress and edit PDF, image, video and audio files. Files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. The service is free and requires no account.
We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every file can be processed, or that a particular result will be achieved (e.g. a specific file size or an identical layout after conversion). We may improve, change or remove tools.
3. Usage limits
The file size, page, duration and resolution limits shown on the tool pages apply. Because processing happens on your device, speed and the ability to process large files depend on your device and browser.
Automated or bulk use that harms the site (bots, scripts, etc.) is prohibited.
4. Your obligations and prohibited use
Only upload files you are entitled to process. You may process copyrighted works, personal data or confidential information of others only if you have the necessary permission or legal basis.
It is prohibited to upload illegal content (e.g. child sexual abuse material, hate speech, content infringing the rights of others), to upload malware or attack the service, to try to circumvent security measures, or to remove the password protection of other people's documents without authorisation. The "Unlock PDF" tool only works with a password you know; no password cracking is offered.
The "Sign PDF" tool adds a visual signature. It is not an advanced or qualified electronic signature under the EU eIDAS Regulation or the Turkish Electronic Signature Law No. 5070. Where a qualified signature is required, use a certified trust service provider.
5. Your files and your rights
All rights in your files and results remain with you (or the rights holders). Since we never receive, see or store your files, we cannot use them for any purpose.
Results exist only in your browser tab. Always keep your own copy of important files; the site is not a storage or backup service.
6. Intellectual property
The design, texts, logo, the name "KDConvert" and the software of this site are protected on behalf of KDConvert. They may not be copied, reproduced, used commercially or scraped in bulk without our written permission.
Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation; PDF and Acrobat are trademarks of Adobe Inc. Other names may be trademarks of their respective owners. KDConvert is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies; the names are used only to identify supported file types.
The tools include open-source components used under their own licences (e.g. pdf-lib, PDFium, qpdf, Tesseract, Mediabunny, MozJPEG, libwebp, libavif, LAME). The licence rights belong to their respective owners.
7. Notices of illegal content and copyright infringement
User files never reach us, so we do not host, publish or control them. Our single point of contact for notices about our own content (copyright or illegal content), requests from authorities and communication under the EU Digital Services Act (Art. 11 and 12 DSA): [email protected]. You can write in English, Turkish or German.
8. Third-party links
The respective site owners are responsible for the content of linked third-party websites.
9. Limitation of liability
The service is provided free of charge and "as is". We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, in cases of slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential obligations and limited to foreseeable, typical damage.
In particular, we are not liable for indirect damage caused by data loss because a user kept no copy, by using conversion results without checking them, or by temporary unavailability of the service. This does not affect mandatory consumer rights.
10. Changes
We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Courts in Istanbul (Central) have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the competent consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts.
If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence and the right to bring proceedings in the courts there.
If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
